As all you new mothers know, there's not a whole lot of spare time with a newborn and a busy two-year-old running around. Plus, my mom is in town so I've been soaking up any spare moments with her, but I did want to post some more pictures and just say that I LOVE being a mom. It's so wonderful. Magson is a dream baby and I am in love. It's amazing how he's brought our little family even closer together. I apologize for the randomness and disorder of these pictures, but I've got to get to bed while Magson's sleeping!
Thanks for all of your warm wishes and thoughts...I feel your love and support and I'm so grateful for such awesome family and friends.

Maggie: "Mommy, what sound a heart make?"
Me: "Uh, a heart doesn't really make a sound." (I'm thinking of the shape not the organ.)
Maggie: "Ba-boom, Ba-boom!"
Nothin' like getting schooled by my two-year-old.
Maggie: "Baby brother is kicking me in my tummy!"
Me: Look, Maggie! There's an airplane! Where do you think it's going?
Maggie: It's going to Germany, maybe.
We have a giant book of German children's songs that Isabella has really taken to lately. I know about three songs--Stille Nacht, O Tannenbaum, and Bruder Jakob and there are hundreds. She desperately wishes I knew more of the songs and gets a little frustrated when I can't sing them. But lately she's perked up and in a tone of relief tells me, "I'm going to ask Grandpa Tracy." Thank goodness I'm not her only resource for learning... and Grandpa Tracy, you might want to freshen up on your German children's songs before you come in May.
I don't know that anyone else would get a kick out of these without her cute little voice attached, but I had to write them down before I forget them completely, and for the time being this blog has replaced my journaling.

- I made my first homemade pizza crust and pizza sauce, and well, pizza. I baked it on an unglazed ceramic tile that I got from Lowe's for $1.50! It turned out pretty yummy. (I got this tip from Crystal's friend Alyssa...I don't know you, Alyssa, but thanks!) I'm still working on making my dinners and treats look yummy--that's an art of it's own. I figure I'll get things tasting good first and then I'll worry about appearances. ;)
- Maggie got her first professional haircut. (Thanks, Melissa!)
- Magnet and I have decided to make bargain shopping a hobby and so we've subscribed to the Sunday paper and use grocerygame.com to line up coupons with sale items to get the best deals on groceries--sometimes it even comes out free! I've also started inputing the ingredients I have on hand into supercook.com and it comes up with all kinds of recipes that I can make with what I've got. Anyway, we had our first "coupon experience" at Albertsons last week and according to the receipt we saved $35.04. Not bad, right Claire?

Melissa got me through Book Club this past week, bless her heart. I'm sure it wasn't so exciting for her since she's never read the book. She helped me bake treats and get the house all ready. Next months' book is The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom.
The best part of her stay was just hangin' out and chatting and watching movies and eating yummy food. It was so fun to have some girl time!
