Heaven

Today Maggie said to me, "Mommy, I wish heaven was on the globe."

I thought that was pretty darn sweet. And it got me thinking about how having Baby Juliette in our home has truly felt like a touch of heaven in my little world. She is oh-so precious. In one week, her angelic presence has renewed my sense of what's most important. If I can succeed as the mother of these three kiddies that I simply adore, I will have made my mark on this big spinning globe we live on.

PS. Anybody got suggestions for what I should call her on the blog? I'm stumped.

  2. OH she is so precious - both that sweet newborn smile and Maggie's wish.

    And... Magliette?

  5. You know what, I automatically combined "mag" and the end of her name (or the ending used often to make someone or something feel feminine). That ending was, "ette". BUT....it came out to be, "Maggette"! I don't think you want to refer to your daughter as a maggot! LOL!

How about "Magnolia". Although I do like "Magpie".

The photo is so gorgeous! I love that you captured her little smile and I love the fluffy thing she's laying on. It has such a soft texture. Great job!

  6. Ooo, Magpie is super cute! Good call, Bethany....

I love the photo. So soft, so sweet, almost ethereal.

    I love Maggie's sentiment. I echo it.

  9. I'm coming late to the game, so most of my thoughts have already been mentioned. The very first thing that came to my mind was Magnificent, but I think that would prove a problem with your other children down the road. I also thought of Magpie and Maglette.

I love that you titled this Heaven. The smile on your baby's face makes me think she's dreaming of Heaven. She's perfect.

  12. Oh my goodness that is the sweetest picture I have ever seen!!!!!! Good thing we share a wall with a newborn next door that screams 24/7 or I would get all too baby crazy and want one of my own right now!

And the first name, and only name, I thought of was Magdalene. Might have something to do with it just being Easter and me being in a New Testament class

  13. magpie is the first thought I had...
I love how heaven sent they feel and they really do bring an angelic presence in to your home. So sweet that Maggie picked up on that!
And she does look like an angel :)

  14. Beautiful girl!! Hailey has been obsessed with heaven recently too, "When can we go there?" "I want to live there." "Where is it?" It was getting a little creepy, but really has been so fun to explain things to her and appreciate the innoncence of kids. Maggirl?

  15. SOOOO adorable!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see her! she seems so fair but I know you said she has darker skin than Maggie. I kinda think Magette is cute like people commented before. Kinda sounds like baguette, which is French and means bread so maybe that isn't so cute. hahahahah I don't know. love you all sooo much!

  17. Oh my goodness, I am SO impressed with all the creative "Mag" names you guys came up with! I'm still deciding...I'm leaning toward Magpie, but when I looked up the definition it talked about a bird that talks too much and hoards food...not liking that so much. Anyway, we shall see. Thanks for all the sweet comments!

  21. Hum... well, I commented on this awhile ago (I was the first one actually...) but apparently it didn't go through. Anyway... congratulations!!!! I'm sooo happy for you and your beautiful little bundle. I haven't been in bloggy land much, so I didn't hear about her earlier... she's beautiful! I first thought Magpie, but that didn't sound flattering to me. Its actually growing on me though. Good luck! Big hugs.
